Shobha Shetty has been practising Iyengar Yoga for over 35 years and teaching for more than 25 years, primarily impacting the lives of women and children. She believes in the saying, “Teach a man, you educate him; teach a woman, you educate the whole family.” Inspired by Guruji, Geetaji, and Prashanthji, she promotes yoga for all—young, old, or unwell—to lead a healthy, happy life.

Shobha has conducted workshops for students, PT teachers, power plant staff, executives, management colleges, policewomen, and college students (including on menstruation). She has represented the Pune Institute in Delhi and China multiple times, spreading the teachings and impact of Iyengar Yoga.

Yogacharya B.K.S. Iyengar with his intellectual and spiritual practices has masterminded the techniques which can be used by all practitioners of yoga. "Research based experience" and "experience based research" has helped him in evolving this technique which is now known as "Iyengar Yoga".

Iyengar yoga is meant for all and is a way of life. The use of props, designed by Guruji, such as the wooden gadgets, belts and ropes among others helps the practitioner achieve perfection in any asana. Regular practice of 'Iyengar Yoga' definitely integrates the body, mind and emotions.
