Learn directly from Nivedita Joshi herself,
a direct disciple of Dr. BKS Iyengar

Nivedita Joshi

WHATEVER I HAVE LOST NONE SHOULD. WHATEVER
I HAVE ACHIEVED THROUGH YOGA EVERYONE SHOULD.

Nivedita Joshi is a microbiologist and a senior Iyengar Yoga teacher from India (New Delhi). What makes Nivedita an unusual teacher is that she was bedridden for 8 long years with a chronic disease in her adolescence. She spent 22 and a half years with Mr BKS Iyengar who trained her and helped her to heal herself. Her deep study with Dr. BKS Iyengar and her own practice and study of yoga have given her the keen eye and unique ability to understand other people’s bodies and medical issues. She has profound knowledge and experience working with all types of students, from those who are fit to those who have chronic pain.

She inculcates multiple variations and improvisations of asanas in her teaching and seamlessly weaves morphology, anatomy, and physiology with the ancient wisdom of yoga. She helps students to understand the science and then makes them feel the subject. Nivedita Joshi runs the first and largest Iyengar Yoga Centre “Yogakshema” in Delhi. She is the first person in the world to have developed a book in Braille on yoga and also teaches visually impaired persons. For the book, she received the “First Ladies Award” in 2018 by the President of India.
