Let us commemorate International Day of Yoga, and improve our physical and mental strength through yoga.
What I have lost nobody should & what I have
achieved through yoga should be shared with all
A teen who was stricken by slipped discs and cervical spondylosis, rendering her virtually bedridden and an invalid for eight long and painful years. Nivedita lost the ability to move her hands and legs. She lost all hope in life – as every effort to cure her met with failure till destiny led her to Yogacharya BKS Iyengar and his Yoga Institute in Pune. She went there initially for a month in a wheel chair – but stayed on for a year – and walked out unaided.
Yoga is like music. The rhythm
of the body, the melody of the
mind, and the harmony of the
soul creates the symphony
of life.
Yogacharya B.K.S. Iyengar with his intellectual and spiritual practices has masterminded the techniques which can be used by all practitioners of yoga. "Research based experience" and "experience based research" has helped him in evolving this technique which is now known as "Iyengar Yoga".
Iyengar yoga is meant for all and is a way of life. The use of props, designed by Guruji, such as the wooden gadgets, belts and ropes among others helps the practitioner achieve perfection in any asana. Regular practice of 'Iyengar Yoga' definitely integrates the body, mind and emotions.
Incredible power of Iyengar Yoga has the capability to do
wonders &give a new life to those who seek its aegis
